Patricia began her long and illustrious career in real estate, and honed her un-matchable instinct, at her father’s side as a child, learning the art of negotiation while assisting him hands on with the remodeling and fixing up of homes he bought, renovated, and sold in Southern California.

Patricia thrives in her kitchen whipping up culinary magic, tending to her magnificent edible garden, decorating her own home, hosting fabulous dinner parties, doing yoga and weightlifting (with Kalara) or out walking the neighborhood accompanied by her Labrador retriever and triathlete husband Ben.

An analytical entrepreneurial career

Kalara holds degrees in economics and international business from the Stern School of Business at NYU. In her technology career she has worked for startups and multinational corporations. She led growth and development of a San Francisco based digital market research platform, mindswarms, as well as having founded an online golf tee time booking platform. Two acquisitions later the golf tee time platform became the cornerstone of Comcast’s foray into digital platforms, golfnow.com.

Kalara’s love of data, combined with her passion for design, gives her a unique ability to tell the story of how a home should strategically be priced and to put its desirability in the context of its specific market in easy to digest, aesthetically pleasing graphical form. Kalara takes complicated concepts and data, and presents them artfully, simply and clearly, helping demystify the process of buying or selling a home.

Globally + locally connected

Kalara is also co-founder of Above Category, a globally renowned cycling company, based out of Sausalito, CA.. She is solidly networked locally, having lived in San Francisco and Marin County for 19 years. Marin County is her favorite place on earth. She is an avid hiker, swimmer, runner, yogi, and gardener. Kalara is multilingual (Spanish, French, Italian) and multicultural (U.S. + Guatemala). You can often find her in Patricia’s kitchen taking cooking lessons from her!
